If our paipos are punk rock, the alaia is Miles Davis. Thin, flat-rockered and sealed with oil, ridden standing and on a rail. It glides in a way foam can’t, a throwback to surfing’s Polynesian roots. Hand-shaped from solid timber since 2010, in four models.
